Metro International invites you to make a commitment to New York City public education by donating a Global Classroom program to the school or schools in which you or your company are involved. Alternatively, we can work with you to identify a school that most closely fits your philanthropic goals.
Global Classroom enables students at all grade levels in New York City public schools to learn about other countries and cultures through presentations by Fulbright scholars and other international students. These "unofficial ambassadors" are trained and supervised by Metro to offer interactive, curriculum-based presentations that illuminate diverse facets of their countries' history, geography, language, art, economy, political system, and customs.
Global Classroom is delivered to schools in individually-tailored packages which, in addition to the classroom presentations, include planning meetings with administrators and teachers, staff development workshops, and follow-up evaluation.
